Inchappara is situated approximately 2 km away from Koodal in the Pathanamthitta district. Today, I am accompanying my closest friends to Rakshasanpara, a historical remnant, to witness intriguing tales and behold the captivating beauty of the sunset. We are venturing towards the monstrous rock that holds a significant place in the annals of history. Although many of us may have heard numerous stories of monsters from our grandparents during our childhood, today I shall narrate a story of a memorable journey with beloved companions.
The rock, resembling the noses of monsters, caught our attention even from afar, leaving each of us in awe. As we proceed, a breathtaking expanse of snow-capped mountains surrounded by lush greenery unfolds before our eyes. The enormous rocks add another dimension to this place's charm. From the elevated viewpoint atop this rock, one can witness the heart of Koodal and Kalanjoor. In the past, when rock miners eagerly dug through the mountains and the spirit of the land itself carved out pools, the entire region was thrown into upheaval, prompting the locals to go on strike. As a result, the mining activities came to a halt. Presently, Rakshasan Para in the Pathanamthitta district has immense potential for tourism due to its preserved natural beauty and historical significance.
Key components of the project include the development of eco-friendly accommodations, such as resorts and cottages that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. There's a focus on creating immersive experiences for visitors, with nature trails, guided tours of historical sites, and cultural programs showcasing local traditions and arts.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of the Rakshasan Para Tourism Project, with measures to ensure minimal environmental impact and promote conservation. This includes the use of renewable energy sources, waste management systems, and initiatives to involve and benefit the local community.
The project is designed to not only boost tourism but also educate visitors about the importance of environmental conservation and cultural preservation. The Rakshasan Para Tourism Project is set to be a model for responsible and sustainable tourism development, offering a unique blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural enrichment.
